Commercial and residential property values outside London have continued to slide on a downward trend as yields move upwards. The difference becomes starker the further you are from the South East. There are notable exceptions – nuggets of desirability – but with bank and mortgage lenders continuing to be difficult, and generally only available to those with deposits of 25% or more, movement in most areas of property are likely to remain sluggish throughout 2011.

The challenge ahead for Industry and its leadership
Bigger businesses need to concentrate their minds and purchasing power on domestic and home grown markets as well as the talent that comes with it, affording more and supporting opportunities that often feed the mouths of their consumers. This is the difficult pathway to success and will require significant leadership strength, but taking this route will pay big dividends in the longer term as they will benefit from higher levels of domestic growth.
