Terry has recently acquired the Bawtry Water Tower and has successfully gained planning permission to convert the tower for a single residential use in a way that is sympathetic to the unique design of the tower and it's setting. Its design is simular to that of the art deco era of architecture popular in the 1920's and 1930's with ornate cornices at the the tanks top and base.
Terry hopes to leave the existing structure untouched and has developed a scheme using a seperate tower for access and reusing the tank and section below for the residential unit. With spectacular period window insertions inspired from The Midland Hotel in Morecambe, the concept attempts not to fight its industrial nature but compliment the period of the buildings design. With stunning views overlooking the landscape that surrounds the building what better way to revive and maintain the tower by adding value and a new lease of life for years to come.
